From 9-27 years old, I pushed my body really hard. From basketball, baseball, soccer, golf, bodybuilding, powerlifting, etc., etc., my body has taken a lot of wear and tear over the years. I did not have a pain threshold that I found to be a good place to stop. I was smart and don't have any hardcore injuries, but I was still extremely rough on myself for a long time.
Now, at 30 years old, I wake up with more aches and pains in my neck, shoulders, lower back, hips, knees, ankles and feet than I ever thought possible. I waddle to the bathroom, put my contacts in, grab a shower and start my day. I work anywhere from 9-12 hours a day, then lift 2-3 times a week and do low impact cardio 3-5 times a week. I come home and sit down mentally and physically exhausted from the "stress" I put on my body and mind. I don't push myself near as hard as I used to, because it's not a main priority like it used to be when I was younger.
However... When a group of guys approach me at the gym and ask me if I want to play 2 on 2 basketball, with my mind always screaming no, my body inevitably says yes... And after 3 games(we won game 2, had to have a tie breaker...you get the point...), you end up with pictures like this...♂️ Now take all those aches and pains, and multiply them by 20 for the next week... But I'll tell you what... Those kids are gonna be feeling me in the morning... @mfit_87 #allpraisetohim #athlete #believe #blessed #comegetascoop #encouragement #fit #faith #fitness #gym #godisgood #happy #healthy #ifbb #iifym #inspiration #life #love #lift #motivation #npc #nutrition #strength #supzilla #supplements #supzillanation #truth #training #wisdom #workout
