Last week was ROUGH!!! From sleep regression, to teething, to sassy toddler syndrome, to spending 3 hours at the new Opthamologist with Sawyer only to find out the prescription in BOTH his glasses was incorrect, and Charlotte is still trying to perfect her potty training. I felt defeated, frustrated, and cried a few times.
Then my husband sat me down and told me the following, "Our kids are healthy and happy and you go above and beyond to make sure of it! Don't beat yourself up over things you can't control, and remember that while this season of life is hard, it too shall pass. You are doing a great job, even if you don't think you are." I'm really grateful for his love and support and his pep talk. Because Lord knows I could not do this thing called Parenthood without him!
To get us all out of the house, he took us to one of our favorite spots, Riley's Farm in Oak Glen. Even though we missed apple picking season, we walked around the beautiful fall foliage, picked a pumpkin, and got apple goodies to take home. It was such a GREAT day, full of smiles, laughter and amazing memories! I definitely needed this day, to remind me that the hard days make it worth it all!
So to all the mamas out there who had a rough week last week, I see you! Hang in there, because tomorrow is a new week and you are going to rock it! Remember that you are not the only one out there struggling to keep it all together. And don't forget it's OK to be frustrated and it's OK to not have it all together, and it's OK to ask for help! Wishing you all a great week!
