- If you train everything once a week just as much as the rest then everything will improve just as much as the rest (most likely). Let's say you lack legs in comparison to your upper body, then try training your legs twice a week.
- Muscle protein synthesis typically last anywhere between 48-72hrs after which time you should be targeting same muscles again if you wish to improve them. So in theory you could train the muscle/s groups every 2-3 days.
✴️ Increase Overall Volume in comparison to your strengths
- For example if your Glutes were lacking in comparison to your hamstrings & every leg day you do 12 sets of Hamstrings & only 8 sets of direct glute work then try doing 12 sets of Glutes & 8 sets of Hamstrings. Otherwise no matter how they may both improve they're only going to improve as much as the other.
✴️ Learn to really Contract the muscle
- Sometimes it's good to take a step back & re teach the body & mind about what it's trying to do achieve during an exercise. Typically most people's lagging body parts tend to be the area they're either weaker in or they train with terrible form.
- Assess your form spend time where the exercise is difficult.
✴️ Prioritise your Intra/Post Workout Nutrition
- Try having your carbs during/after training, helps keep glycogen stores full (water cells inside muscle bellies) in return this will give you a more physical looking pump buy also helps with performance during workout (possible progressive adaptation)
✴️ Begin your workouts/Weekly program with targeting that area
- By mid week your body has already trained 2/3 days in a row and chances it's drained & your nervous system (depending how hard your training) is possibly battered resulting in poor performance in the gym.
