There is a process called de novo lipogenesis (literally: Creation of fat from non-fat sources) that can occur in the body. It should be noted that insulin spiking does not work as a dichotomy (all or nothing). When insulin is 'spiked' it can be spiked to various degrees, and it would hinder fat loss in a proportional degree. It is never 0%, and it is never 100%. There is always a degree of fat being used for energy and always a degree of carbohydrate being used for energy, the amount of each just varies in response to diet and exercise. It’s so easy to get stressed out during the holidays and lose sight of what is important. I know it happens to me literally every morning of whatever holiday it is when I’m rushing to get ready and trying to make sure I don’t forget anything..but then I remember that the holidays are about family and friends and that I have so much to be thankful for.

I’m so thankful for my gorgeous hubby, my beautiful, healthy son and my amazing family. I am so thankful for so much more, but those pretty much top everything. .
The first 2 pics weren’t the most flattering angle for my body, but that’s okay! I love my fam and I will post every family pic I get (Bae is super private and doesn’t like to be ft on my insta a lot ) .

Find out ssxfit's Instagram Hit a new low weigh in today! I’m 3 for 3 with weeks on prep and the scale going down. Im hitting the point where I feel like “am I starving all the time for nothing? Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn’t I be leaner by now?” But. It’s. Only. Been. 3. Weeks! I have to be patient with myself. The less dramatic the progress, the more sustainable. That being said, I had a great convo with my coach last night about the game plan for today’s Thanksgiving meal - enjoying myself without going overboard. Not tightly tracking or being obsessed with staying in a deficit, but it’s not going to be a free for all either. Moderation is my weakness. But seriously, one day a year isn’t going to hurt your progress! We all need to go easy on ourselves
